The Muse Knoxville is offering Knox County SECOND GRADE teachers a professional development opportunity on August 2nd from 8:30am-11:30am. As part of our partnership with Knox County, the workshop has been approved and will provide SECOND GRADE educators with pre-built lesson plans, consumable and durable hands-on materials, and important content training to deliver the lessons. The workshop provides each educator with a minimum of 3 STEM Topics to take back to their classrooms. We will provide 3 lessons matched to new science standards for EACH topic. Additionally, each of the lessons covered contains a full classroom set of materials along with a resource listing to replenish the materials for the following year (or to share with other teachers at the school). Each topic will contain one durable 'learning tool' that can be reused over several years. Educators will receive professional development credit within Knox County Schools. Each teacher will leave with a significant amount of materials to use in the classroom and to replicate year after year. Limited to 30 teachers so sign up soon!
