Common Party FAQs

*Please note: For the safety of our guests within the party, there can be no unsupervised children and they must be accompanied by their parent/guardian.

How much do I have to pay upfront?

The $75.00 deposit paid upon booking is nonrefundable. The rest of the package balance is due when you arrive on the day of the party. You can make payments beforehand, but it is not expected or required. We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and checks.

If you need to cancel your party and would like to reschedule, we will honor your $75.00 deposit if the party is rescheduled within 30 days after cancellation, as a one time courtesy.

How far in advance should I book my party?
We would recommend booking at least 6 weeks in advance for the best choice of dates and times.
    As a Muse Member, do I get a discount?

    You sure do! Muse members save 20% on both the Basic and Premium packages and any add-on activities (excluding the Make It Easy and Cotton Candy add-on).

    Can I rent the space for something other than a birthday party?

    Yes, you can! You can rent our museum for a family fun night, an end-of-the-school-year gathering, or a corporate social event. You name it! For private rentals, please get in touch with for more information. Our building’s capacity is about 175 people.

    How much time will I have to setup the party space?

    If desired, you can arrive up to 10 minutes before your party’s scheduled start time, however, we will already have the space cleaned and set up with any decorations/table coverings we’re providing. We’ll also bring your birthday items and set them up for you if you wish.

    Parties that arrive late cannot be extended beyond the 2-hour allotted time.

    What does the party room look like?

    How many people are included in the Basic and Premium Parties?

    Admission for 25 people is included in the Basic Party, and 50 are included in the Premium Party. Each extra person will have a discounted admission rate of $6 per person. Any child under 1 is free and not included in the count.

    Are Planetarium Shows included?

    Planetarium shows can be added to any party for just $25! However, as the planetarium is dark during shows, adults are asked to consider the age and needs of children – and other viewers – before booking this add-on.

    Is ice provided?

    We do not provide ice, however, we do have a fridge/freezer in the party room for you to utilize.

    Can guests arrive before my scheduled party time?

    If desired, you can arrive up to 10 minutes before your party’s scheduled start time, however, we will already have the space cleaned and set up with any decorations/table coverings we’re providing. We’ll also bring your birthday items and set them up for you if you wish.

    Are hanging decorations allowed?

    Yes, we have specific ways to hang decorations. Please get in touch with our Guest Experience Manager at for more information.

    Pinatas are also not allowed at this time. While fun, our party slots do not offer the proper time buffers to hang and clean piñatas.

    Are party favors available?

    Our Plus Party Package comes with a make-and-take project for our little guests in place of party favors.

    Will there be someone to help with the party?

    Absolutely! One of our awesome Party Hosts will hand out pizza, cut the cake, etc, for your convenience and safety! Additionally, we are more than happy to help with any additional needs and as much or as little as you like.​​​

    We also pick up after the party is over so you don’t have to!


    Can I bring in outside food and drink?

    ​Yes, you can. However, you will still have the option to Make it Easy and purchase pizza and drinks from us. In addition, alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited at Muse’s birthday parties.​

    Does the Muse provide balloons?

    No, but guests are allowed to bring in their own balloons for birthday parties. Set-up and inflation of any balloon decor is not a service provided by Muse staff. Guests are responsible for the inflation, set-up, deflation and proper disposal of all balloons, balloon arches, balloon bouquets, etc. themselves.
