What did the baby spider want to be when it grew u What did the baby spider want to be when it grew up? 🕷️ ... A web designer! 😆

Yesterday, in Day 2 of Muse Pop's Microscopic Muse week, we put our web slinging skills to the task by crafting and testing our very own spider webs. 🕸️ Using simple household items like paper plates, pliers and yarn, we were able to engineer little structures capable of withstanding multiple blocks... and not without creating our own little spiders with pipe cleaners!

Join us today for DAY 3 of Muse Pop as we explore frozen fizzing invertebrates in Read and Play at 2:30PM. 📖

We had such a lovely time hosting the @utk_tpte's We had such a lovely time hosting the @utk_tpte's VOLTS Family Engagement Night on Wednesday! 🍊

While the little ones explored the Power of Play in the museum, parents participated in literacy-focused group discussions where they shared the ways in which they implement reading practices to their children in their own homes, while also learning new ways to further enhance and develop literacy in children. 📖

If you're a parent, here's some helpful questions to ask yourself regarding your child's reading:
1. What types of reading materials is your child exploring at home?
2. Do you and your child do any types of reading activities together?
3. Do you take your child to the local library?
4. What do you think you can do to help your child become a better reader? 😊
