Field Trips are FULL for the remainder of the 2024-2025 School Year! Please read below to learn more about what we offer and to make plans for next school year! See our summer field trips tab for Summer booking!

Liability Statement

Muse Knoxville is dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for all visitors. While we take every precaution to maintain the safety and functionality of our facilities, exhibits, and equipment, the museum cannot be held responsible for incidents arising from improper use or lack of adherence to safety guidelines.
To ensure a positive experience for all guests, it is the responsibility of the visiting school or organization to provide appropriate supervision for students throughout their visit. Adequate supervision helps safeguard the well-being of all participants and ensures proper use of museum resources.
Please note that failure to meet supervision requirements may result in restricted access to certain exhibits or activities as a precautionary measure. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Common FAQs

Timing

2.5-hour trip: Rotations (classroom, planetarium, and exhibit gallery) are 45 mins with 5 minutes to change locations, plus a bathroom break at the end of the planetarium show.

Students may be split into groups as needed

Things to Know
  • The fee is $12.00 for each field trip guest paying at the door, separately from the school.
  • Muse Memberships do not cover field trip programs.
  • Other discounts and coupons do not apply to field trip programming.
  • Maximum group size is PreK 20, K-2 25, 3-5 30
  • There can be up to 3 GROUPS PER field trip
Title I Schools

We have scholarship options! Please note your interest in a scholarship while filling out your field trip request form.

Pricing

Class teachers are admitted FREE for the field trip.

Students (and up to 5 additional adults) $7 each IF fees are paid through the school.
Field trip fees cover scheduled time only.

Cancellation Policy

Please let us know if you must cancel or change your field trip plans as soon as possible.

  • Field trips canceled or postponed with fewer than 14 days notice will be subject to a $50 administrative fee.
  • “No-show” field trips will be subject to a $100 administrative fee.
  • Cancelations or rescheduled trips due to weather that closes or delays school will not result in a fee.
  • Late arrivals may result in a reduction of field trip programming.

We will make every possible attempt to reschedule trips canceled because of weather.

Group Transportation Option

Group transportation to the museum is available through CharterUP. You can book a bus rental in Knoxville tailored to the specific needs of any school trip.
